ROCK The UK!.. and some more GH3.

27 11 2007

Our tour group is doing really well. Although I’ve not long joined it, there’s a sense of pride already. We’re closing in on the top 100, being ranked 151st right now and climing daily. If you’re from the UK and want to show the world what we’re made of, then click here and apply for the tour group.

I’ve just complete the hard career and let me tell you, Lou (the final boss battle) is not a walk in the park like the rest. It’s basically down to the song; The Devil Went Down to Georgia. Those who have heard it will know how random it gets. Those who have played it however know how EVIL it is, especially on hard/expert. It took me three tries to finish him off. Lou will hit all of his notes if you don’t attack him with anything, and will always use his attacks when he gets them, so you have to be prepared.

I don’t know why, but he gets his first (which is a bit unfair), though it’s usually something useless (at the time) like a broken whammy bar. If you soldier on, grabbing as many attacks as you can until about 50% of the way through the song, then you’ve got him. I had two “difficulty up”‘s and a “broken string”. First hit him with one of the difficulty up’s and the broken string. That got his rock meter down to low yellow. Before he had a chance to recuperate, I used the other difficulty attack and he was finished within seconds of activation. From there it’s smooth sailing.

Now that I’ve gone through the hard career, I can focus on the expert one. There are still some songs on hard I’m yet to five star, but those can wait for a while.
